I found this awesome recipe on Pinterest and could not resist trying it out. I have made it a few times and each time I’ve tweaked it just a little until I felt like it was perfect.. This is my final result and I just had to share it with all of you.
You will need:
* 1 tube of cookie dough
* 8oz. cream cheese
* 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
* 2 tubs of whipped topping
* 3 cups milk
* 1 pkg chocolate pudding mix
* 1 pkg vanilla pudding mix
* chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°
After greasing the pan, spread the cookie dough evenly on the bottom.
When the oven is ready, put the cookie in and let it bake for 15 minutes.
QUICK NOTE #1: Make sure that you check it about half way through, depending on the size of the pan you use and how you spread the cookie, you may want to cook it more or less to make it to your liking. I like when the cookie base is a little gooey.
When the cookie comes out of the oven, let it cool a little bit.
I sometimes just put it into the fridge to help it along.
While the cookie is cooling, you can start making your layers.
— Layer 1:
Mix the cream cheese and confectioners’ sugar until smooth.
(I cut the cream cheese into small cubes so it mixes better)
Then add 1¾ cups of whipped topping, again mix until smooth.
— Layer 2:
Mix your milk with the chocolate and vanilla pudding mixes.
Whisk the mixture until smooth. (you don’t want any clumps)
When you feel that the cookie is cool enough, add Layer 1 evenly across the cookie.
Then evenly add Layer 2.
Add the rest of your whipped topping evenly to the top of the cake and then generously distribute chocolate chips all over the top; put however much you want, totally up to you.
Put into your refrigerator for at least 8 hours before eating so everything can set.
And then… enjoy!
QUICK NOTE #2: I usually make this at night so that it can sit overnight and be ready for whoever gets to it first in the morning.
I hope you love this cake as much as my family did!
